Penny`s Diner in Brunswick

Surprising find in the Brunswick area. A bit off the beaten path, but good diner food with great prices. Friendly service as well.

Quaint and amazing diner! Hard to come across these but definitely worth the stop and great food! We loved the atmosphere and staff!

If the staff at Penny's Diner would spend more time on fixing a delicious meal rather than be more concerned about playing Pokemon, the meals might be worth the high price for diner food. Our family and extended family ate there and the prices were ridiculous for what you received. They constantly play pokemon. How can you focus on your job when you are more concerned with playing a game. They are obsessed with it. Never eating there again.

Good, home-cooked style meals. not many people frequent the hotel it's adjacent to, most of its customers are either people going to work in the morning and getting breakfast and coffee, or families coming for dinner. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, most of the times I've been there or been there with others we hung around long after our meal was done chatting with the employees and other customers.if you play Pokemon go, this is also a gym that is taking over several times a day by rivaling teams, I'm assuming the employees. It's a fun place with good people and easy access to get to West Virginia, Virginia, or Frederick or point of Rocks

Good breakfast food. Went back for lunch...burger was disappointing

Food was good, had breakfast here. Prices are good. The place was understaffed so everything took a long time. I also think the place needs a good cleaning. This seems like it should be a basic quick place to grab food. Think waffle house like atmosphere. I would try eating here again.

Food was very good, but prices are on the high side

Came in and was greeted by a lady named Cassandra. She was extremely nice and welcoming. When the food arrived I was surprised by the healthy and large portions. The place was very clean. A really nice atmosphere. Kind of a diamond in the middle of farmland. I would highly recommend this place and will return again.

When the place first opened I thought it was too crowded and busy. Now that the initial crowds have thinned, we go there about once a month for breakfast. It is a decent breakfast place at a decent price.

My family and I have been going every other weekend for 2 years now and we love the staff and the food. They make you feel at home. It is truly a proper Diner.

It was okay m the food was ok, the service was nice. People were nice. The place is open 24hrs and has WiFi and was clean, so all pros. The decor was cool.

A blast from the past. When you leave you almost expect to see Chevys and bobby socks out in the parking lot. The staff here is so warm and welcoming. The food is homemade and cooked to order. THE PIE! YOU MUST TRY THE PIE! Did i mention they also have banana splits and milkshakes!? This place is within walking distance of a hotel. I haven't stayed there but if your looking for a spot close to outdoorsy activities it could be a good choice with Brunswick and Harper's Ferry close by. Bike on C&O tow path or go tubing in the river. So much to enjoy in this area rich with history and nature.

Its only has comfort food but it's cooked in front of you. The meals are nothing special. It does remind you of the old style diners.

Great food, and very personable, nice staff. Whether you are looking for good breakfast food, or a burger they have tasty options for anyone anytime of the day.

Food was overcooked which wasn't our waitresses fault. May give it another try for breakfast not dinner

Take out order was ready in a jiffy. Inside dining set up, too, with buffers for safe dining.

We always have a good meal here. The kids enjoy it. I love diner breakfast food and Penny's serves good breakfast. Service is good. The food doesn't always come out together but we're not too picky about that.

On our way west on 340 we went out of the way to Penny's diner. We were pleasantly surprised. We both had the breakfast skillet. Made fresh. Coffee was a fresh pot. For diner food...would defintely go.I interior is diner decor. Service was pleasant .

We called ahead of time to tell them that we were coming with 8 people there was one boy by himself that had to do everything. Where's management????

The restaurant was squeaky clean and the breakfast was absolutely fantastic.

Great diner food and excellent service! We usually go on Sunday mornings and they always have coloring activities for our toddler, fresh coffee, and good food! The staff is super nice! I've tried a lot of different menu items and I've liked them all. Everything is made fresh to order. Really great hangover food too haha

Usually when we go here the service we receive is clean, fast and friendly, but our visit yesterday was not so great. The tables and chairs were covered in food, service was terribly slow (we were the only ones in there) and the server stacked the creamer bowl on top of my coffee cup. Idk where that creamer bowl had been. It was very unsanitary. We had a dirty looking little blonde server that looked like she just rolled out of bed. We usually enjoy our visits here, but I hope we do not get her again!

Room was very clean, good tv, very comfortable, the Dinner is open 24/7 and the food is good. Very nice place for a visit and great tristate location

I love diners, I’m drawn to them. They usually provide good sized portions of great tasting food at reasonable prices. This place only resembles a diner, it is run by Travelodge. “Open 24 hours”. We went there for dinner, 5:00 pm. The whole time we were there we were the only people eating there. “Serving breakfast all day”, sandwiches and dinner. The dinner portion of the menu had 4 items to choose from, I ordered the meatloaf. Not worth the price they charged, meatloaf was not that good, mashed potatoes were runny and cold. Portions were small and the prices were more than we expected. The waitress did her best to make us enjoy our experience. I felt sorry for her, since a waitress relies on customer’s tips for income. If most of their customers are like me they won’t be going back.

Great food and service

Excellent diner food, fast service. This place is a hidden gem. They nailed the onion rings too, perfectly crispy and still tender inside. Be sure to stop here if you're in the area!

It was easy access from rt. 17 in Brunswick. We sat down for lunch and our drink order was taken. We ordered off the menu , I had the Penny's Pride . It was a very large burger with a side of vegetables I walked away very full .I will definitely come back.

The staff is so sweet and attentive and the place was spotless. My kids were treated like royalty and loved having a long discussion about Pokemon with their pancakes.

No complaints. Stumbled here for breakfast. Fast service at 10am on a Saturday.

Delicious and good prices. Diner food not gourmet but good and solid service.

The service was poor, the staff was friendly yet not interested in their job. Instant mashed potatoes are a disappointment. The restaurant itself is a nice place, clean. Limited dinner selection. I had the chicken fried steak and it was decent, the green beans were meh. Flavorless and soggy.

The servers are always great, it's always open, and it's a hell of a diner.

Always have had prompt servicehere. My first trip the cook made perfect eggs, I'm discerning, over easy. Very friendly staff here, I would recommend it.

This is a cute little diner, kind of reminds me of waffle House but with more personality. The employees they were very nice to me. The serving sizes are little bit smaller compared to waffle House, But it is cooked just the same. Especially the breakfast food. Is a little more expensive compared to waffle House. But I still like it, I will be back there again.

This place is doubtless one of the best place in the neighborhood. Anytime I visit this place I am so happy. They maintain their very high level service and the topmost level of meals they serve. You no doubt will love this place. Warmly recommended.
